Data Interoperability and Family Health History

With the use of genetic and genomic testing increasing in healthcare, clinical trials, and research, the need to capture, analyze, and share family health history data becomes a requirement as an important component of precision medicine. Future systems must include the interoperability of professionally generated data (EMRs, etc.) with patient-controlled data (in this case the family health history). We will review current work in this area, with ideas for solutions to achieve our goal.
