From Crisis to Continuity: Maintaining Health Care Data Exchange Following a Cyber Attack, A WEDI Member Position Advisory (MPA) event
This member only event will revolve around the critical topic of maintaining business continuity within healthcare organizations in the wake of cyber-attacks. During and after an attack the “business of healthcare” (for our purposes center around data exchange, communication, claims, transactions, etc.) must continue. What are the best practices, suggestions, and key steps that stakeholders must consider exchanging data, processing information, and maintaining lines of communication? What recommendations can WEDI offer HHS and the private industry?
- Understanding the Impact: Assessing the repercussions of cyber-attacks on healthcare operations.
- Proactive Measures: Strategies for fortifying electronic data interchange, claims processing, transactions, and communications systems against cyber threats.
- Recovery and Resilience: Best practices for restoring operations and ensuring continuity in the aftermath of a cyber-attack.
