WEDI Survey Insights: The State of Interoperability & Prior Authorization in Health Care

OPEN TO THE HEALTH CARE INDUSTRY!

Earlier this year, WEDI conducted a survey to determine how the industry is implementing CMS-0057 one year after the regulation was finalized. The survey asks questions of stakeholders on key issues, including: 

1. Progress made on implementing the Payer-to-Payer, Provider Access, Patient Access, and Prior Authorization APIs. 

2. Will stakeholders not covered under the Final Rule be supporting the Interoperability and Prior Authorization APIs. 

3. Challenges encountered during the implementation process. 

4. Expected implementation costs. 

5. Resources necessary to assist implementation decisions and efforts.

WEDI leadership and its Prior Authorization Sub-workgroup Co-Chairs will review the survey and host a panel discussion to address next steps for the industry as we get closer and closer to compliance dates
